Prof. Aminata Sall Diallo is the Executive Director of the PASET Executive Committee and a member of the PASET Board of Directors. She is a Special Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Research of Senegal, in addition to being a Professor of Physiology at the University Cheikh Anta Diop, Dakar. An eminent scientist and a leading voice for promoting science education in Sub-Saharan Africa, she is also a member of the Senegal National Academy of Sciences. Prof. Diallo is an important advocate and leader in the fight against hepatitis and played a key role in establishing the National Program against hepatitis in Senegal making Senegal the first African country to introduce vaccines against the disease.
She has revolutionized the prevention of hepatitis B in Africa through her research that has shown for the first time in the world that mother-to-child transmission of hepatitis B virus is high (19.8) while WHO was pruning that it was 0.5%, thus changing the vaccination schedule which is decisive for the control of this disease. She animates a pan-African network of battle against the hepatitis called IPLH
She is a country representative of African centers of excellence labeled World Bank and of the European Horizon 2020 program and representative of Senegal at African Union hepatitis working group
She has a huge challenge at this moment in her country as she is project leader of the alignment with the offer of higher education on economic needs and general administrator of the Senegalese program for youth entrepreneurship.
She had a great recognition of her peers and was elected in 2015 member of the French Academy of pharmacy , biosciences section
She is a knight of the national order of merit of France and Knight of the National Order of the Lion of Senegal,
